Glitches (SC2)

Terrain Glitch

One of the only known glitches that is bannable in-game allows you to move a terrain-locked part of the game anywhere you want. This glitch is considered game-breaking because it is simply capable of breaking the whole planet itself. However, some of the terrain glitches can be either client-side or server-side.

Gatling Laser / Auto Torpedo Glitch

There is a glitch that allows you to grab the Gatling Laser and Auto Torpedo from the vehicle without having to sit on it. Currently, there is only one method working to obtain it; the other two were patched.

Terminal-Hyper-Disease

This glitch can occur in a myriad of manners, but a majority result in the same glitch; being unable to activate the hyperspace drive even when in space. Occasionally this can be fixed by exiting and re-entering the craft in question, although this infrequently works. This glitch can inversely effect flight when in planets, allowing you to activate hyperspace while inside a planet. Although this glitch is much rarer than Terminal-Hyper-Disease.

Change Team Nukes / Auto Defenses

When a player uses the /changeteam command, they are automatically reseted and sent to the Unknown team. However, the items in the players inventory will remain until they are respawned. Therefore a player could buy anything, and place it down in the timespan of being dead. Anything placed will be teamed as Unknown. Things like nukes and outpost can easily be placed and do immense damage.

Gravity In Space

When leaving a planet, there is an oft chance you may keep the gravity of the planet you have left in space and on other worlds. This also disallows you from using hyperspace, similar to Terminal-Hyper-Disease.

Defender Invulnerability

Typically, Defenders will be annihilated by a singular rocket, causing it to explode. However, there is a rare chance the Defender will survive. Instead of exploding like a regular defender when hit with a rocket, the Defender will resist the hit, and survive with only the seat remaining. This leaves and awkwardly flying single part. From the pilots perspective the Defender seemingly has a minuscule sliver of health remaining.

Heavenly / Descending Grappling Hook

On planets with gravity greater than 1.0, the Grappling Hook will ascend instead of descending as it should. Meanwhile, on planets with gravity below 1.0, the hook will descend. This is contrary to logical thinking.

Crippled Tank

Sometimes when spawning tanks or driving them off high ledges, the wheels will burst out in rage, either flinging you and the tank into oblivion or causing your tank to be forced to drive with unwieldy wheels, which often clip through the tank. A similar effect can happen to the tank barrels, as they could become floppy and hard to aim, as they will dangle instead of remaining normal. This occurrence is rarer than the angry wheels glitch.

Unknown Suicide-Money-Laundering

When on the Unknown team, players can team-kill, and also kill themselves. Killing a player regardless of their RU count will always grant you 50 RU. Therefore, when shooting yourself as unknown, you can generate 50 free RU. Simple free money.

Sniper Disease

The sniper simply cannot zoom after its first use. This one should hopefully be fixed soon . . .

Conveyer Terrain

Using Btools, it is possible for someone to transfer a part of a planet into a conveyer part. Making it a pain for anyone to walk. This can also effect the spawn room.

Sentient Spawn Room Ball

"Many may claim this as an old wives tale . . . But I've seen it with my own eyes. It chased me until I was mince meat." This glitch is incredibly rare and understood, but the basic idea is that the Spawn Room Ball can spontaneously gain sentience and chase specific people down. No matter their speed or distance. It will not stop until you are dead.
