Shotgun is a close quarter weapon, its main purpose is to kill enemy in one hit regardless if they're wearing body armor or not, currently highest damage raw weapon in game, however shotgun are often used as backup if player ever miss their rocket for most part, it also rare to see shotgun during a siege planet.
