The Excavator is the first ship in the game to feature no weaponry at all and have a requirement being the Space Station. Its main role is for excavating asteroids as its name implies. Allowing for asteroid mining to be possible; it has a mining laser that will check if it has hit an asteroid and will slowly begin to mine the asteroid. When the process is complete, the asteroid will usually explode into smaller pieces, thus creating a cool effect with it. To fully transfer RUs to your team, you must land inside of a refinery which can be built on a station, then land inside of the refinery hanger and wait for the message to appear, prompting if you want to deposit the RUs. The ship nearly has the same stats as the Light Corvette.
