Elysia is one of the few conquerable planets located within the Maya System. It is the replacement planet for Persephone, who previously resided in the system prior to The Maya System Patch. Despite Persephone's removal, Elysia still uses the double ring system that Persephone used to have. Celestia is the only moon orbiting Elysia.

Terrain

The Surface of Elysia

Elysia's terrain is mostly consisted of large grasslands surrounding by large hills and tall hoodoo's that can commonly be found on most of the land of the main landmasses. On the landmasses themselves, lots of mineable material can be found here, such as mineral's, ores, and even some of the plant life. Mining these can give players RU's, at whatever amount they give. Surrounding most of walkable land is a large capri-colored lake with a few islands sitting within it, one of which is mainly a tall hoodoo that sits within the lakes center. The capture point can be found above of.. what appears to be an ancient bridge sitting on top of a pillar that sits within a miniature River (or Lake).

The Giant Sword

Sitting near the center of the entire map lies a giant stone-built sword thats embedded into the ground. Given by its nature, it's possible that the sword is meant to be a reference to Excalibur, a weapon that the rightful king of Britain can pull from the stone. Although, its unknown as to who built it nor to what purpose was it originally supposed to serve.

Trivia

  • Due to a bug, Elysia's atmosphere extends slightly into space, deactivating hyper speed before you even reach the actual surface of the world. No other planet has this bug currently.
  • Before Elysia was added to Solar Conquest 2, Persephone used to be in the Maya System, as the Maya System's equivalent to Hades in the Cocoa System. However, by around 3/30/2023, Persephone was retired from the system during the Maya System Patch, and would later be replaced with Elysia.
    • Elysia is the second ever community-made planet to enter the game, created by Wenne.
  • Celestia, the moon that orbits Elysia, used to be orbiting Gotivya prior to the Maya System Patch.
  • Given by the existence of the giant sword and the bridge (or temple?), it could be hinting that Elysia was once inhabited at one point in time.
  • The name "Elysia" came from "Elysium", a Section of the Underworld in Greek Mythology.
    • The Name "Elysia" also happens to be the name of the gaseous planet from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
    • This could make Elysia one of the few planets within Solar Conquest 2 to be named after something from the Metroid franchise. The others being the "planets" of The Belt.
